Proposed clients

Zimbra's supported clients will closely resemble the University supported email clients for FY2009, with a few modifications and additions. Zimbra does not currently function with Kerberos authentication while in calendaring mode. Following the list of clients below is a link to configuration documentation for the recommended clients

Integrated clients

Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007 with Zimbra Connector for Outlook (ZCO) 5.0 (Windows)

Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.x with Mozilla Lightning 0.8 calendaring extension (Windows/Mac OS)

Zimbra Web Client for all currently supported web browsers along with the probable addition of Firefox 3.x (Windows/Mac OS)

Zimbra Desktop (Windows/Mac OS) - currently in beta and not initially supported at the University. Zimbra Desktop uses Mozilla Lab's Prism technology to bring a web client-like experience off-line.

Discrete clients

Email

Apple Mail 2.x/3.x (Mac OS)

Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.x (Windows/Mac OS)

Calendar

Apple iCal 3.0.x (Mac OS 10.5) - iCal will not be supported with Zimbra under Mac OS 10.4

Mozilla Sunbird 0.8 (Windows/Mac OS)
