WebOS for Exchange
From Provider Wiki
webOS is the operating system that various mobile devices from HP run, including the Palm Pre and the TouchPad. HP has migrated away from its original device-centric webOS strategy, and the future of that platform is in question. Those considering adopting webOS should consider other platforms. That being said, webOS is compatible with ISC's Exchange service, and as of 1.2 has the required level of security policy compatibility to be a fully supported platform. webOS supports AirPennNet's protocols, but XpressConnect does not yet support AirPennNet.
Connecting webOS to Exchange
Before connecting any device via ActiveSync, it must be enabled via the Enable ActiveSync Feature function of Exchange Account Management. This must be done by the Exchange admin of the org the user belongs to. This does not need to be done if ActiveSync was enabled for a previous device, though it is necessary for former BlackBerry users.
Keep in mind that if you have connected a previous device to Exchange with the HP webOS Account you are using, some or all of this configuration may be completed already and you will only need to supply the password. HP backs up device and account configuration information for webOS users.

- Make sure the device has a full signal.
- Select the Email icon. It will likely be in the Quick Launch bar, or on the leftmost pane of the Launcher.
- Select the Email menu in the upper left and select Manual Setup.
- Under the Mail Type section, select Exchange (EAS).
- In the Email Address field, type the username as username@exchange.upenn.edu, even if they send as user@upenn.edu or some other variant.
- Use the following settings in the Incoming Mail Server section:
- Server Address: https://mail.exchange.upenn.edu
- Domain: kite

- This is probably not the same as their PennKey password

- Enter a 4-digit passcode (alphanumeric characters are not valid for the passcode), then select Sign in.

- Once the device has finished syncing, launch the Email application. Select the Exchange sub-menu by selecting the triangle. Mark with a star any folders that you wish to appear in your Favorites box. The Favorites inbox will show the selected folders for multiple accounts all on one screen.
webOS 3.x
Please note that webOS 3.0 is currently in its first revision and Exchange ActiveSync connectivity is somewhat unstable. Setup may require multiple attempts and encounter erratic behavior such as accounts disappearing or mail sync not completely properly. Those who plan on using the TouchPad as a primary device may want to wait until a future major update introduces a more stable EAS environment.
